The Royals start an 11-game road trip that will carry the club up to the All-Star break at the Twins, in a battle to stay out of last place in the AL Central. The Royals have been an excellent team away from Kauffman Stadium, going 20-16, but finally showed some flash at home with a sweep of the Tampa Bay Rays.

Catcher Salvador Perez returned from the disabled list last Friday, giving the Royals three catchers, so Humberto Quintero was designated for assignment Wednesday, leaving Brayan Pena as the reserve.

Location: Target Field, Minneapolis, Minnesota

TV: Fox Sports KC

Radio: KCSP 610
