The MLB All-Star Game's ratings have slid consistently over the years, so any improvement is considered good for baseball, and the 2012 edition from Kansas City posted an improvement over last year's edition, despite the blowout score from the first inning on:
Despite 8-0 score, #ASG overnight ratings up +3% on FOX (8.1 vs. 7.9). St. Louis led all markets w/ 20.5, followed by DET, CIN & DAL.

It's interesting to note that the top market, St. Louis, is home to the World Champion Cardinals and N.L. manager Tony LaRussa, while Detroit, Cincinnati and Dallas are all home to division contenders at the All-Star break.
