Ethan Hollingsworth has been moved back to AAA Omaha after spending the last several weeks of the season with AA Northwest Arkansas as the Royals are clearly trying to find the right place for the 25-year-old pitcher.
From the Travelers' release, "Hollingsworth began the season with the in Triple-A before joining the Naturals in mid-May. The right-hander was 0-6 with a 4.94 ERA in 13 games, six starts, for Northwest Arkansas. His best start of the season came on July 8 when he threw a season long seven and two-thirds innings allowing nine hits and four runs, while striking out a season high nine. Hollingsworth last pitched on July 16 against the Travelers."
He was 2-2 with a 6.45 ERA through his first few starts for Omaha to start the season.
Hollingsworth was the player acquired from the Oakland Athletics in exchange for Kila Ka’aihue last September. He was originally a fourth round selection out of Western Michigan by the Colorado Rockies in 2007.
