A.L. Central Standings Update: Royals Near The Bottom Of Division

The Kansas City Royals are toiling near the bottom of the American League Central standings in fourth place. They are 11 games behind the Detroit Tigers for first place, but they are just one-half game out of being in last place above the Minnesota Twins.

The Royals went 1-2 against the Twins in their latest series, and by winning that one game they avoided being last place in the A.L. Central. The bottom of the division is where the Royals most likely be for the remainder of the season as they are 9.5 games behind the White Sox and 6.5 games behind the third place Indians.

The next series for the Royals does not get much easier as they head out to West to take on the Los Angeles Angels for a three-game series.
