The 2012 MLB All-Star Game is hopefully going to be good business for the Kansas City metro area as they serve as the host city, and FOX is also hoping the game is good for business on the broadcast end of things. So far, so good for at least one half of the equation.
Per SBD, Fox has sold out all of the ad inventory in and around the MLB All-Star Game. Reporting high single-digit % increase over last yr.

Last year's game in Phoenix drew 11 million viewers, down 9 percent from the previous year's 12.1 million total. The absence of Albert Pujols might hurt the game this season as well, but there are plenty of other intriguing stories especially if new players Bryce Harper and Yu Darvish win the Final Vote competitions currently in place for both leagues.
