If the Kansas City Royals want to add on another representative when they host the 2012 All-Star Game at Kauffman Stadium in a week's time, fans will need to flood the polls to get reliever Jonathan Broxton to the event. Broxton jumped to fourth on the Fourth of July, overtaking the Angels' Ernesto Frieri, but still trails an impressive list - Texas' Yu Darvish, the White Sox' Jake Peavy and Baltimore's Jason Hammel.
There's a specific site established by the Royals to vote for Broxton (click here), and MLB has now opened up Twitter as a valid voting method for Broxton and the rest of the candidates:
Any tweet sent out during that four-hour span that includes a designated player hashtag will go toward that player's Final Vote total. Royals fans can use the hashtag #VoteBroxton to vote for the Kansas City closer. Fans can follow @MLB on Twitter for standings updates up until the polls close at 3 p.m. CT.
