Moore is added to the Royals to provide depth at the catcher position. However, he was not all that productive when he was with the Seattle Mariners. In 68 career games he owns a .197 batting average, five home runs, 17 RBI and a .231 on-base percentage.
Moore will not be joining the majors as he has already been optioned to the Royals Triple-A affilate in Omaha.
