Luke Hochevar (7-10) will take the mound for Kansas City, looking for a bounceback performance. In his last game on August 10 against the Baltimore Orioles, he gave up three home runs and his team lost 7-1.
Rookie Dan Straily (0-0) will be pitching for Oakland. He, too, is looking to rebound after giving up four home runs in a 4 2/3-inning outing against the Los Angeles Angels on August 8.
The first pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. CT at Kauffman Stadium. The game can be seen on Fox Sports Kansas City.
