The Boston Red Sox are not in a good place right now, and the Kansas City Royals will want to take advantage of that as they start a series against the slumping Sox at Fenway Park.
Boston has now lost 15 of its last 21 games, with injuries and underachieving tainting a season that started with a slight glimmer of promise.
Their game on Thursday was pretty much a microcosm of their season all together. They blew several leads against the Los Angeles Angels at Fenway Park and were eventually taken to extra innings, where they lost in the 10th frame. It was a draining experience for the team and the fans, blowing leads as high as six runs before falling.
Now they bring in Kansas City, still tired from the Angels game. The Royals will be perfectly happy to see them.
