Royals Vs. Red Sox Final Score: Kansas City Falls To Boston 4-3

The Kansas City Royals fell 4-3 to the Boston Red Sox on Friday night, and the game changing play came in the bottom of the seventh inning when Red Sox third baseman Pedro Ciriaco hit a two-run double off of Royals relief pitcher Kelvin Herrera. That play proved to be the game winner for the Red Sox.

After that the Royals had a very good chance in the eighth inning to tie the game when they put a runner on second base with no outs, but the Royals were unable to advance the runner home. In the ninth inning, the Royals were shutout completely and were unable to get a single baserunner the rest of the way.
