Royals Vs. Rangers Final Score: Kansas City Wins Series Finale 7-6 In 10 Innings

A throwing error by rookie Mike Olt enabled the Royals to escape with a 7-6 win in 10 innings over the Texas Rangers.

Salvador Perez put the Royals up early with a first-inning double off of Rangers starter Derek Holland. The Rangers came back with five runs in the fourth to take a 5-2 lead. The Royals chipped away from there and eventually took a 6-5 lead in the sixth with a two-run double by Billy Butler. Michael Young tied the game up again in the seventh before the Royals won it in the 10th.

Greg Holland picks up his fifth win of the season with two innings of scoreless release. Michael Kirkman is the tough luck loser after allowing the lone run in the 10th.

Jeff Francouer had two hits for the Royals including his 10th home run of the season. Catcher Brayen Pena also homered in the win. Adrian Beltre had three hits for the Rangers.
