The Kansas City Royals (63-77) will begin a three-game series against the Minnesota Twins (59-82) on Tuesday at Target Field after taking two of three from the Chicago White Sox.

The Royals will send Will Smith (4-7, 5.45 ERA) to the mound in Game 1. He took a loss in his last start, giving up three runs and nine hits in six innings of a 3-1 loss to these same Twins on Sep. 1.

Scott Diamond (11-6, 3.35 ERA) will get the ball for Minnesota. He had a fair bit of help from the offense in his last outing, a Sep. 4 win against the White Sox in which he allowed four runs and seven hits in five innings of an 18-9 victory over the White Sox.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. CT. You can watch it on Fox Sports Kansas City.
