Bruce Chen Has Enjoyed Success Against Angels In 2012

Bruce Chen will take the mound for the Kansas City Royals on Thursday as they kick off their series against the Los Angeles Angels, and he'll be looking for a boost in form from what he's seen so far in September. The lefthander is 10-12 on the year with a 5.39 ERA, with two losses and seven home runs allowed in his first two games in September.

His best successes of the season, though, have come against the Angels in the two games he has pitched against them:

And in two starts against the Angels, one of which was perfect through six innings, he's allowed three runs over 11 1/3 innings without giving up a home run.

Kansas City will need the best they can get out of Chen, as he is facing a hot C.J. Wilson, who threw one of his best starts of the season his last time out.
