White Sox Vs. Royals: Game Time, TV Schedule And More

The AL Central-leading Chicago White Sox and Kansas City Royals close their season series Thursday night in the rubber match of a three-game set, and not a moment too soon for Chicago.

The Royals shut out the White Sox, 3-0, Wednesday night, which coupled with a Tigers' win cut Chicago's division lead to a mere two games. The Tigers go for a sweep of the Oakland Athletics on Thursday afternoon.

The White Sox (81-67) have had a tough time with the Royals this season. The Wednesday-night loss dropped Chicago to 6-11 against Kansas CIty (67-81) this season.

Thursday night's game from Kaufman Stadium begins at 7:10 p.m. CT. Kansas City will send Jeremy Guthrie (7-12, 4.92 ERA) to the mound to take on Chicago starter Francisco Liriano (6-11, 5.24). The game can be seen locally on Fox Sports Kansas City.
