Luis Mendoza Hopes To Continue Success Against White Sox

Luis Mendoza will be taking the mound for the Kansas City Royals as they start their series against the Chicago White Sox on Friday, and he's probably the most likely candidate for success in the series.

Mendoza has started three games this season against the Sox and pitched in four. Though his record is only 2-2, he has a solid 2.96 ERA from those four games. In his last time out against the Sox, he threw a solid two-run outing with six strikeouts.

Chicago has gone 4-8 against the Royals this year, so they won't be too pleased to see the best pitcher the Royals have had against them coming up first. They are still in first place in the AL Central, but the Detroit Tigers continue to close in with every loss.
