The Kansas Jayhawks will travel south to face the No. 9 Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday night at 6 p.m. CT in Norman, Okla. The 1-5 Jayhawks hope to beat the Sooners for the first time since 1997.
Kansas has a bit of a quarterback controversy on its hands, coming off a 20-14 loss to Oklahoma State in which Dayne Crist was benched in the second half in favor of Michael Cummings. Cummings threw for just 75 yards, but he led the Jayhawks to two scoring drives in the fourth quarter.
Oklahoma soundly defeated Texas in the Red River Rivalry game last week, pouring 63 points on the Longhorns in the process. The Sooners racked up 677 yards of total offense behind quarterback Landry Jones, who threw for 321 yards and two scores.
The Sooners defeated the Jayhawks in a 47-17 rout in last year's contest. Oklahoma has won seven straight games in the series, while outscoring the Jayhawks by an average of 23 points per contest.
Line:: Oklahoma by 35.
