Kansas vs. West Virginia odds: Jayhawks are huge underdogs on the road

The Jayhawks have lost 10 straight after winning its season opener.

John Rieger-US PRESSWIRE

Prior to a 31-24 win against Iowa State, the West Virginia Mountaineers were on a five-game skid that ruined what initially looked like a season that could end with national title hopes. Despite the mammoth collapse, the Mountaineers are still 20-point favorites against the Kansas Jayhawks for Saturday's game.

Kansas is on a losing streak of its own, with 10 consecutive losses after winning in the season opener. Far from bowl eligible, the rough season for the Jayhawks will finally come to an end on Saturday in what bettors expect to be a blowout in favor of the Mountaineers.

With a 6-5 overall record, West Virginia is bowl eligible, but the bowl is still undecided. While the Mountaineers are far from contention for a BCS Bowl, the team can still earn a spot in a a bowl like the Meineke Car Care Bowl or Pinstripe Bowl, while a loss would likely relegate the team to the Heart of Dallas Bowl.
