KU Football Has An Offensive Problem, Courtesy Of Baylor

KU's offense was nowhere to be found on Saturday against Baylor.

The Kansas Jayhawks took a hard hit in the 55-7 loss to the Baylor Bears in Waco, TX on Saturday.

Offensively, nothing was working.

KU had a string of decent drives in the first quarter with plays of 9, 10, 7 and 9 -- only one ended in a score.

The only players of note on offense:

  • QB Jordan Webb: 16-of-28 for 171 yards,1 TD, 1 INT
  • RB D.J. Beshears: 12 carries, 47 yards
  • RB James Sims: 14 carries, 39 yards
  • WR Daymond Patterson: 6 receptions, 53 yards, 1 TD

SB Nation's Rock Chalk Talk weighs in on the Jayhawks offensive performance:

On the offensive side of the ball any positive momentum was quickly destroyed by poor execution, turnovers and/or penalties.

And that's exactly what the drive charts show.

Be careful, though: These aren't pretty.
