Starting QB For Kansas Jayhawks? Turner Gill Still Deciding

Kansas Jayhawks head coach Turner Gill has yet to announce his starting QB for Saturday's game against Colorado. There are three options: Starter Jordan Webb, backup Kale Pick or third string Quinn Mecham. Webb is dealing with an injured shoulder, Pick had a concussion two weeks ago (but is cleared to play) and Mecham wasn't injured last week.

Tully Corcoran of the Topeka Capital Journal reports Gill isn't purposely being coy about the situation as each quarterback has practiced "on and off" this week.

"I guess for an underlying deal, that's part of it," he said. "But we're trying to find the guy that gives us the best chance to win. If it happens to fall into that category that they don't know who's gonna be the guy, then I think that helps us to a certain extent."

None of the quarterbacks have been particularly effective so it's anyone's guess who it'll be. I imagine if Webb is healthy he'd be the guy since he's the starter but we'll find out perhaps by Friday.
