The Kansas Jayhawks are in a hole early against the Colorado Buffaloes.
Colorado drove 80 yards in over five minutes to start the game. The drive ended on a fourth down touchdown, one of two fourth down conversions for Colorado on the 12-play drive. QB Cody Hawkins completed 5-of-6 passes for 66 yards. Kansas needs to step it up on third and fourth down. They can't let multiple third and fourth down conversions on one drive.
Quinn Mecham and the Kansas offense get it back looking to tie it up in the first quarter. Kansas head coach Turner Gill decided to go with Mecham after Kale Pick had a concussion two weeks ago and starter Jordan Webb is suffering from a shoulder injury.
Both Kansas and Colorado are in disappointing seasons and yet to notch their first Big 12 victory.
