NCAA Basketball Rankings: Kansas Holds Onto No. 3; Missouri Moves Ahead Of Kansas State

The Kansas Jayhawks remained the No. 3 team in the country in the latest AP poll. Bill Self and the KU basketball team beat the USC Trojans on Saturday but of course that game is remembered more for Josh Selby's debut, which came along with 21 points and a three pointer that gave KU the lead with 26 seconds remaining. Kansas faces Cal this week as they improve to 10-0 on the season.

The Missouri Tigers also improved this week beating Oral Roberts and Central Arkansas to improve to 10-1 on the season. They now move up to No. 9 on the year and prepare for No. 21 Illinois this week.

The Kansas State Wildcats is the big loser this week as they lost to the Florida Gators in the Orange Bowl Classic. This is the second loss of the year for K-State, with the first coming at the hands of No. 1 Duke Blue Devils. They drop to No. 11 this week behind Georgetown and Mizzou.

Despite KSU's loss, this is a great time to be a fan of college basketball in the Kansas City area with three teams in the top 11.
