The Kansas Jayhawks traveled to New York to play the Memphis Tigers at Madison Square Garden in the Jimmy V Classic. Fourth ranked KU basketball was successful on Tuesday evening walking away with a 13-point victory over No. 13 Memphis.
Specifically, Tyshawn Taylor was successful with 13 points and four assists.
This game meant a little more for Taylor because he hails from nearby Hoboken, NJ. So it was a homecoming game for him and he had a solid game even though he seemed to be pressing at times.
His 13 points were the fourth double-digit scoring out of the season and 32nd in his career.
