KU Strikes First Late In The First Quarter, Leads New Mexico State, 7-0

KU football is a little sluggish to start out (maybe they need to quit passing the ball) but scored first on Saturday against New Mexico State.

Danny Beshears scored on a 10-yard touchdown run with less than a minute left in the first quarter to take a 7-0 lead.

The play was the end of a three-play 88-yard drive that included a 43-yard screen to Angus Quigley.

KU is expected to win in a blowout being given a 23-point line in this game.
