KU's Special Teams Still Disappointing; New Mexico State Ties It Up

Before Saturday's game against New Mexico State, Kansas Jayhawks head coach Turner Gill reporters that he is most disappointed in special teams.

"I guess special teams is the one I’m disappointed in," Gill said. "Even though we’ve got an all new staff, all new people, you go three games and you’re not doing something well as far as in the punt return and on the punt team."

So how is the KU football team responding?

Not well: The first two NMSU kick returns have been returned across mid field and into Kansas territory.

New Mexico State quickly punched it in tying the game at 7 after taking over at KU's 44-yard line.

That's an easy way to let NMSU stick around.
