The Kansas Jayhawks go on the road in ESPN's Big Monday schedule to face Perry Jones III and the Baylor Bears. Jones, a 7-foot big man, is expected to be one of the top picks in the 2011 NBA draft.
KU basketball head coach Bill Self is familiar with him because, like many of the top talents, Self recruited him. Via KC Star:
"He's 7 foot and can run and jump and put his head above the rim," Self said. "I'd say he's a pretty good prospect. He's maybe the best prospect in the country from a pure prospect standpoint. There's not a better athlete out there than Perry."
Quite the task when you also have a guy like LaceDarius Dunn to deal with. Kansas is going to see some things they haven't seen all year. Their ability to adjust to that will be the key to the game.
