The Kansas Jayhawks took care of business against the Baylor Bears on ESPN's Big Monday, 85-65. KU basketball had no trouble with Baylor as they jumped out to a 21-point first half lead. In fact, Bill Self called it the best first half of the year for Kansas.
Owen Kemp of SB Nation's Rock Chalk Talk has the winners and losers following KU's big win.
Winners in this one; The Morris twins, Kansas playing to prove something and the Jayhawk starting guards contributing in almost perfect complimentary fashion.
Losers: The Kansas Jayhawk fan hoping the Morris twins might pass on the NBA for one final run in Lawrence. Who knows? It could still happen.
I would love to see the Morris twins return to KU and play in the area for another year. I don't see it happening but remember these are 20-, 21- and 22-year-old kids that tend to change their mind so we'll just have to wait it out. But the odds are low that they'll consider that.
The winner is anyone and everyone in the first half. Kansas went +21 in the first half and -1 in the second half.
