The Kansas Jayhawks are an early selection to have a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament in March. SB Nation's Chris Dobbertean, resident bracketologist, has another projection of the field as we sit less than two months from the final announcement.
He has five Big 12 teams included in his bracket right now: Kansas, Texas, Texas A&M, Missouri, Oklahoma State and Kansas State.
Kansas is a No. 1 seed while Texas is a No. 2 seed. Texas A&M and Missouri both hold No. 4 seeds while Oklahoma State and Kansas State both have 11 seeds.
Kansas should be a No. 1 seed as they're one of the best teams in the country. If the first half of their season is anything like the second half then they'll secure a top seed. Other No. 1 seeds include Ohio State, Duke and Pittsburgh.
You can tell how close Kansas State is to not making the tournament. Remember, Jacob Pullen said he wouldn't play in the NIT if the Wildcats didn't make the NCAA tournament. We'll see if that's tested but Monday's win over Baylor is a step in the right direction.
