Kansas Jayhawks' Turner Gill Recruiting With The Big Boys

Matt Tait of KUSports.com has a cool story on an interesting recruit for Turner Gill and the Kansas Jayhawks. Kyle Crofoot is a 6'4", 240 pound...long snapper? Indeed, one of the best long snappers in the country is on KU's radar, which is a testament to the recruiting work done by Gill to this point in the season.
Yeah it's "just a long snapper" but Crofoot is also getting recruited by some big time schools. Auburn, Florida...and Kansas. Which one of these is unlike the other?
If Crofoot, whose three older brothers played in the SEC, decides to take KU up on its offer to pay for his schooling, he'll have a great chance to step right in and hold down the long-snapping duties for the next four years. Many outlets have him ranked in the top three in the nation among long snappers, and, special teams or not, when you get a guy ranked in the top three in the country to come to your school, you play him.
Obviously it's not a done deal but it's an interesting note on KU's recruiting to this point in the year. Check out Tait's full story at KUSports.com.
