Kansas Jayhawks guard Josh Selby is off to a good start in his young college basketball career. The KU freshman notched his second Big 12 Rookie of the Week award with two solid performances -- both wins -- for KU this week.
Selby averaged 14.5 points in KU's victories over Colorado and Kansas State this week. He scored 17 points against Colorado hitting 7-of-14 shots. He scored 12 points against Kansas State on 4-of-6 shooting. He also had seven rebounds and nine assists in those games.
In both games he was efficient from short and long distances as he hit 6-of-9 three point attempts.
Selby has been as advertised to this point for Kansas though the most important thing is that he's starting to fit in with the offense. I remember his first game against USC where he had a great individual effort but KU barely won. Obviously that's changing.
I wonder how many more of these he'll win.
