The No. 24 ranked Texas Longhorns come into Saturday night's game versus the Kansas Jayhawks with an extra week of rest, a different perspective of the Big 12 landscape and ready to shine in a new version of prime time television.

Texas comes in as a four touchdown-plus favorite over the Jayhawks from Lawrence. While Texas focuses on improving their ranking and becoming a better football team, the Kansas Jayhawks have to begin wondering about the future of their head coach Turner Gill. Kansas is on a five-game losing streak, including four consecutive versus Big 12 opponents. Look for tailback Malcolm Brown to have another big game, as in their last contest versus Oklahoma State the freshman carried the ball 19 times for 135 yards and a touchdown. Quiet as kept, Kansas has the second highest rated QB in the Big 12 in Jordan Webb. Webb has passed for 1407 yards, 12 touchdowns and just five interceptions to go along with his 154.5 QB rating.
OddsShark has Texas as a 28.5 point favorite for Kanas for Saturday's game.
Series history: Texas leads 8-2
