Kansas' Thomas Robinson and Missouri's Marcus Denmon were both named to the preseason All-Big 12 team, which was selected by the conference's coaches.
Robinson, an athletic 6'9 240 junior forward, was one of three unanimous picks despite playing in a reserve role last year behind the Morris twins. At least one Jayhawk has made the preseason team in each of the last six seasons.
Denmon, a 6'3 185 senior combo guard, is coming off an All-Big 12 first-team season where he averaged 16.9 points on 50% shooting for the Tigers.
Among the honorable mention selections were Kansas guard Tyshawn Taylor and Missouri forwards Laurence Bowers and Ricardo Ratliffe. Unfortunately for first-year Tigers head coach Frank Haith, Bowers tore his ACL this week and will be out for the season.
The other players on the team were Baylor forward Perry Jones III, who was also named preseason player of the year, Texas guard J'Covan Brown and Texas A&M forward Khris Middleton.
The coaches did not select any Kansas State players this season.
