Kansas Vs. Oklahoma State: Cowboys Route Jayhawks, 70-28

The Kansas Jayhawks were never in this game against the Oklahoma St. Cowboys. Kansas did score first on a 10 yard pass from Jordan Webb to Tim Biere to take their only lead on the game at 7-0. After that score Oklahoma State rattled off 56 straight points to lead 56-7 at the half.

Oklahoma State used their passing game to roll past Kansas and used two quarterbacks Saturday afternoon. Starter Brandon Weeden went 24-for-28 for 288 yards and five touchdowns, and back up Clint Chelf nearly kept up the pace by completing 14-of-21 passes for 208 yards and two touchdowns. Chelf also got in on the receiving action by catching three passes for 70 yards. On the day Oklahoma State had 12 different players catch a pass with five scoring a touchdown.

Kansas' four first half turnovers did not help their cause to stay competitive in this game. Quarterback Jordan Webb was able to move the ball against the Oklahoma State defense and threw 25-for-36 for 316 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

The Jayhawks fall 0-2 in Big 12 play and 2-3 overall, next week they take on 5-0 Kansas St. Wildcats.
