Kansas' match up with Kentucky in the State Farm Champions Classic from Madison Square Garden is one of the most highly anticipated games of the 2011-12 season. The Wildcats come into the game ranked No. 2 in the polls and will face a Jayhawks team that is trying to prove that it still belongs in the conversation.
The Kentucky lineup boasts a talented group of youngsters in Anthony Davis and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist combined with sophomore Terrance Jones. The Wildcats looked very impressive in both their exhibition games and in the season opener. However, they have yet to face a team as talented as the Jayhawks.
Kansas enters the game ranked No. 11 in the coaches poll and is coming off of a 100-54 defeat of Towson in its season opener. Bill Self will need big games out of both Thomas Robinson and Tyshawn Taylor if Kansas is to pull off an upset over Kentucky.
