Are you ready for some basketball? Of course you are, I mean...its not like you were waiting on the NBA right? Right. For the Kansas Jayhawks, while there will be plenty of reminiscing of former KU standout twins Marcus and Markieff Morris from last year's squad, the No. 13 ranked 2011-12 Jayhawks are looking forward to overcoming their demons from last season.

In about a week, the Jayhawks will board a plane to the island getaway Hawaii as they will be one of the 8 contestants in the 2011 EA Sports Maui Invitational. Waiting for them in the first round of the tournament will be Georgetown and a tip-off time close to 11:00 p.m. Central time.

For the Jayhawks, a tune-up versus the 4-26 Towson Tigers (who lost their best player Isaiah Philmore to a transfer to Xavier) on Friday will kick-off their season. Then, the real kick-off begins as Bill Self's boys from Lawrence will travel to New York City to face the No. 2 ranked Kentucky Wildcats in the State Farm Champions Classic. Expect Self to play his starters thoroughly in the first game, as his squad will need as much preparation as they can get before their big game next Tuesday.

Here is your 2011-12 Kansas Jayhawks roster:
