Jared Sullinger Injury: Ohio State Forward 'Unlikely' To Play Against Kansas, Per Report

Ohio State All-American forward Jared Sullinger sat out the Buckeyes' last game with back spasms a week ago, and now won't play today at Kansas, according to Seth Davis of CBS Sports.

Without Sullinger, the Buckeyes will have to contend with a tall Jaywaks front line in 6-10 Thomas Robinson and 7-0 Jeff Withey. Sullinger leads undefeated OSU in scoring and rebounding (19.1 points, 10.3 rebounds a game) this season. Junior transfer Evan Ravenel took Sullinger's spot against Texas-Pan American and scored a career high 11 points.

Earlier in the week OSU head coach Thad Matta addressed the potential of Sullinger missing the game and how it was alter his gameplan against the Jayhawks (quote courtesy of the Associated Press):

"Do you think he makes that big of a difference?" he said with a grin. "We do and we don’t. We’ve had some time this week to put some things in that we’ve been talking about doing anyway. But to reinvent the wheel, we’re not going to do that. But I like the progress we’ve made this week with some of the things that we’ve added."
