During the Kansas Jayhawks 78-67 upset victory over the No. 2 Ohio St. Buckeyes, while Buckeye fans cried foul for their star player being out for the game (Jared Sullinger) with an injured back, the Jayhawks fans can give a ton of credit to one of their star players playing through a significant injury.
Per the Lawrence Journal-World twitter feed, evidently Jayhawks guard Tyshawn Taylor played through Saturday's game with a torn meniscus:
#KUBball Tyshawn Taylor played through last night's game with a torn miniscus...He'll sit out the next 1-3 weeks http://t.co/FGzQNAmg
Missing three weeks of action would mean missing games against Davidson, at USC, Howard and North Dakota. For Bill Self, this could be an opportunity to develop the younger guards and build the confidence on the Jayhawks with their star player down.
