The No. 14 Kansas Jayhawks host the 5-3 South Florida Bulls on Saturday, looking to generate some momentum before their third contest against a top 5 opponent this year, a Dec. 10 home game against No. 2 Ohio State.
Kansas rebounded nicely from a heart-breaking loss to No. 6 Duke in Maui, beating Florida Atlantic by 23 points on Wednesday.
Star forward Thomas Robinson had 19 points and 17 rebounds while Tyshawn Taylor and Travis Releford chipped in with 29 points from the perimeter.
Under fifth-year head coach Stan Heath, South Florida returns their top eight players from last season's 10-23 squad. The Bulls have already won five games this season, but they've dropped their three biggest contests so far: a road game at VCU and home dates verse Penn State and Old Dominion.
A balanced team whose top five scorers average between 8 and 13 points a game, South Florida is led by Arizona State transfer Victor Rudd, a 6'7 210 junior forward averaging 12.5 points and 4.8 rebounds a game.
The Jayhawks, meanwhile, will try to get starting guard Elijah Johnson on track, after Johnson suffered through what coach Bill Self dubbed a "Maui hangover" against Florida Atlantic, committing 7 turnovers without scoring in 27 minutes.
The game will be televised nationally by ESPN2 at 4:15 PM.
