ESPN ranks Brannen Greene the 20th overall recruit in the basketball class of 2013. The good news for Bill Self is that Greene now calls himself a future Jayhawk. Kansas received a commitment from Greene, the dynamic shooting guard from Monroe, Georgia at a moment they could use some good news after losing to Davidson unexpectedly last night. Greene brings an ideal 6-7 frame to the position and can score in bunches.
ESPN's scouting report says, "Greene is a dynamic shooter. He possesses a classic jump shot and a solid well rounded offensive package. He is a good athlete that is effective attacking seams in transition. He has a solid mid range game and uses his size to get his shot off easily against smaller players."
Ultimately, they summarize him by saying, "Greene has the size, athleticism and skill level that the high majors love, but he needs to continue to mature as both a person and a player. He has improved a lot over the last year but must continue to focus on developing his overall game on both sides of the ball to become a more complete player."
