In their last non-conference game of the season, the No. 18 Kansas Jayhawks will try to get ready for the start of Big 12 play with a home game Saturday afternoon against the North Dakota Fighting Sioux.
North Dakota isn't expected to provide too much of a challenge, as they are only in their second season in Division I and have gone 5-7 so far this season despite not playing a single BCS team in non-conference play.
The Fighting Sioux are a small team with three sophomore guards -- 6'4 Troy Huff, 5'10 Aaron Anderson and 6'0 Jamal Webb -- averaging over 11 points a game.
For the Jayhawks, coming off a dominating 89-34 win over Howard, the game will be a chance to continue their momentum headed into Big 12 play while working out some of the kinks that have cost them three losses so far this season.
Kansas isn't a particularly deep team, and sophomore transfers Justin Wesley and Kevin Young as well as freshman guard Naadir Thorpe can use all the seasoning they can get before their first Big 12 game on Jan. 4 with against the No. 25 Kansas State Wildcats.
The 3:00 PM game will be televised nationally on ESPNU.
