The Missouri Tigers are 22-7 on the season and 8-6 in the Big 12 coming off of a week that includes an 18-point victory over Baylor and a 10-point loss to Kansas State over the weekend. Mizzou was ranked No. 20 last week, one spot ahead of the Texas A&M Aggies.
We've already looked at the shake-up in the top 10 but which way will Missouri go?
With that loss, I'd normally stay they'd drop, and they still might. No. 24, 22, 21, 18, 15, 14 and 13 all lost this week meaning Mizzou's not alone in adding a L. Plus, Mizzou lost to a hot Kansas State teams that's won six of their last seven games.
Whether they move up slightly, or drop a couple of spots, Mizzou's going to end up being ranked around 20ish and I think that's about fair. Missouri, I think, has the ceiling to be a team closer to the top 10. Unfortunately, they don't play their best every week. Well, let me rephrase that -- they don't play their best every week when they go on the road.
So we expect a good-sized shake-up in the top 10, and probably in the bottom half of the rankings as well. The ESPN/USA Today Coaches' poll and AP poll will be released mid-to-late Monday morning.
