Last week, Duke was ranked No. 1 in both the AP and ESPN/USA Today polls. After they lost to Virginia Tech over the weekend, we knew they would fall. Kansas was ranked No. 3 in the AP poll and No. 2 in the coaches poll. Ohio State was ranked No. 2 in the AP poll and No. 3 in the coaches poll.
Both polls have been released and Ohio State is No. 1 and Kansas No.2 in both polls. BYU, Duke and Pittsburgh round out the top five followed by Purdue, Texas, Notre Dame, San Diego State and Wisconsin.
Kansas finishes the season against two quality opponents so they'll have a chance to move back up to the top. On Wednesday, they'll play Texas A&M and then they'll head to Mizzou next weekend.
Speaking of Mizzou, the Tigers dropped two spots in the AP poll from No. 20 to No. 22. They lost to Kansas State on Saturday and, while Kansas State isn't ranked as well as Missouri, they're playing very well right now so it's not a terrible loss.
Kansas State isn't ranked but they are "also receiving votes" so that's a start. K-State has won six of their last seven games and they're going to be a dangerous tournament team in both the Big 12 and NCAA.
