The Kansas Jayhawks survived an outstanding effort from the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the second round of the 2011 Big 12 tournament. The bracket had these two teams matched up and, as a 14.5 point favorite, I figured KU basketball would walk away with this.
Apparently not. OSU lead for part of the game and stayed with Kansas all the way down to the final seconds. OSU had a chance to hit a potential game-winner but a broken play resulted in J.P. Olukemi's shot missing the mark .
Marcus Morris lead Kansas with 16 points and 11 boards while brother Markieff added 10 points and six boards. Kansas didn't play great but they also didn't play terrible. Credit OSU for coming out early and hitting their shots, as they did against Nebraska on Wednesday.
Kansas moves on and will play the winner of the Colorado-Kansas State game which is starting right now. We could be seeing a KU-KSU matchup on Friday....I think that's what I'm rooting for. That will blow the roof off the Sprint Center.
