He didn't make the first team which I felt was a slight surprise but he's on the second team. The Associated Press All-American second team is out and KU basketball's Marcus Morris finds his way on there. Morris finished the season averaging oer 17 points and seven boards per game on one of the top two teams in the country. Well deserved, to say the least.
Joining him on the second team is Arizona sophomore Derrick Williams, Notre Dame's Ben Hansbrough, Wisconsin's Jordan Taylor and San Diego State's Kawhi Leonard.
The name that jumps out at me on that list is Williams. I admit I didn't watch much Arizona basketball this year but his game against Duke in the Sweet 16 was simple incredible. You don't often see someone completely take over a game the way he did.
Kansas fans aren't feeling too good right now after the loss to VCU in the Elite Eight so they can take some solace in the fact that they had one of the best players of the year on their team. Check out Rock Chalk Talk for more on KU.
