Big 12 Tournament Bracket Update: Oklahoma Storms Out To 17-Point Halftime Lead Over Baylor

The Baylor Bears got word just a few hours before Wednesday's game against Baylor that freshman Perry Jones III was ruled ineligible by the NCAA and won't be playing in the game (or the rest of the season). Apparently, they're having trouble replacing his nearly 14 points and seven boards per game.

Oklahoma has jumped out to a 17-point halftime lead over Baylor, 39-22. The Bears simply aren't on their game hitting on just 36 percent of their shots while Oklahoma is playing very well shooting 56 percent from the field.

Cade Davis has 14 points and three boards to lead the Sooners at halftime while Quincy Acy leads Baylor with eight points and seven boards. Baylor's LaceDarius Dunn is just 1-of-5 from the field with three points.

The news on Jones III couldn't have helped Baylor's situation heading into the game. They prepared to play Oklahoma with him and just hours before the game one of their leading players isn't there anymore.

Baylor is an 8.5 point favorite in this game according to the college basketball odds we saw (pre-Jones III ineligible ruling).

The winner of this game will go on to face Texas on Thursday. Right now, it looks like that team will be Oklahoma.
