The Kansas Jayhawks basketball team probably shouldn't count on Marcus and/or Markieff Morris returning to the team. Though things can change it certainly appears that the twins are headed to the NBA. We've heard the latest report which has them meeting with an agent in California.
Yahoo! Sports reported that the twins met with agent Jason Martin last Wednesday and had a night out on Thursday in Beverly HIlls. They haven't announced their decision to turn pro but it certainly seems to be headed that way. J. Brady McCollough of the KC Star reported that a final decision is coming this week.
The report says that the Morris twins are close to signing with Martin. But on Friday afternoon, Angel Morris, the twins' mother, told The Star by text message that is inaccurate. Angel Morris said Marcus and Markieff would make their NBA decisions final "sometime next week."
If the twins accepted anything from Martin of value -- plane ticket, cash, etc -- then their eligibility could be compromised.
Self said last week it "would not surprise me" if a few of KU's players decided to leave school early for the NBA. Others with decisions to make include Thomas Robinson, Tyshawn Taylor and Josh Selby.
