Is Josh Selby Declaring For 2011 NBA Draft?

KU basketball guard Josh Selby was expected to come in, light the world on fire and exit Kansas en route to the NBA. Unfortunately, things didn't play out that way. His first game against USC was stellar but it was mostly down hill from there as he worked to get acclimated in Bill Self's offense and get used to becoming a role player and not the star.

So the decision for Selby to leave for the NBA isn't as easy as we thought it would be, as many figured he'd be one-and-done. But after averaging 20 minutes and eight points per game, would he come back to boost his draft stock?

Apparently not. Alex Kennedy of Hoops World passes this along:

Josh Selby will enter the NBA Draft and hire an agent, according to sources. He's currently working out at Impact Basketball in Las Vegas.

Obviously this isn't confirmed but I wouldn't be surprised one way or the other.

According to Draft Express, he's a fringe first round prospect right now. That could change in the months leading up to the draft but for now that's about where he stands. He has until April 24 to declare for the draft and until May 8 to pull out if he doesn't hire an agent.
