And just like that...they're gone.
Jeff Goodman of FOXSports.com reports he received a release announcing that Kansas Jayhawks basketball players Marcus and Markieff Morris have signed with agent Tony Dutt, which means their eligibility is gone and they're headed to the NBA.
Reports came out last week that the Morris twins were meeting with agents in Los Angeles lending to the speculation that they would declare for the draft. There has yet to be an official statement from KU on this. Bill Self previously said he would sit down with all of KU's players that could make a jump to the NBA and discuss it.
The Morris twins were a staple of the 2010-11 KU basketball team so this loss will absolutely hurt them. KU seems to reload year after year but it will be difficult after this one, even with Tyshawn Taylor and Thomas Robinson returning to school.
Marcus is generally regarded as a better prospect and could be a fringe lottery pick.
