On the same day that Kansas picked up a commitment from Seth Russell, the Jayhawks picked up another dual-threat quarterback in Hialeah, Florida's Bilal Marshall.
Marshall, a 6'3" 170 lb quarterback is the 15th rated dual-threat quarterback per Rivals and is ranked the 100th best senior in the state of Florida. Rivals gives Marshall a three-star status.
Last season at Dade Christian, Marshall threw for 1,358 yards and 16 touchdowns while rushing for 971 yards and eight scores.
It was somewhat surprising that Marshall picked Kansas after knowing that Russell had committed earlier in the day. He picked the Jayhawks over BCS conference offers from-
Baylor
Boston College
Duke
Northwestern
Purdue
Rutgers
Virginia
Wake Forest
The Demon Deacons have reason to be upset as they had offered both Russell and Marshall. Attached is some video showcasing the Floridan's skills.
After a slow start in the 2012 recruiting process, Marshall becomes the second recruit for Kansas on the day and the fifth commit overall.
