Although no trip is scheduled yet, Jermaine Lawrence, one of the premier forwards of the Class of 2013, plans to visit Kansas among other schools before making a decision in the spring, according to recruiting-expert Adam Zagoria.
The 6'10 senior from Pope John XXIII High School in New Jersey reportedly visited St. John's Midnight Madness event and plans on visiting several other schools before making a decision. In addition to the Jayhawks, Lawrence plans to visit Cincinnati, Syracuse and UNLV while also considering UCLA and Kentucky. The seven schools are the same seven that Lawrence listed as the finalists in a tweet in late August.
On the Rivals 150 ranking of the top Class of 2013 recruits in the nation, Lawrence ranks No. 18 and No. 10 among forwards. The 2012-13 season will be Lawrence's first at Pope John XXIII after spending his first three years of high school at Cardozo High School in New York.
