Bill Self puts on coaching clinics even when the game clock isn't running. The reigning Naismith College Coach of the Year and 2008 National Championship winner will give visitors a behind-the-scenes look at Jayhawk workouts and practices October 26-27. Coaches of all levels are invited to watch two practices and a weight-lifting session, as well as be addressed by Coach Self and former Georgia Tech head coach Bobby Crimins.
The event will take place in Allen Arena, home of Kansas basketball since 1955. The clinic is $60 and includes breakfast, but for an additional $30, participants can attend the Jayhawks' homecoming football game against Texas.
Self is entering his 10th season as Kansas' head coach, and has amassed 269 wins and an .838 winning percentage. In addition to the National Championship in 2008, Self has led the Jayhawks to eight straight Big 12 regular season titles. Kansas reached the title game in last year's NCAA Tournament, but lost to Kentucky 67-59.
